The Menzies Health Institute Queensland is being launched at Griffith University tomorrow, making it the fourth in a prestigious group of health and medical research institutions around Australia to carry the Menzies name.

The Menzies Foundation is proud to be a founding partner of the Institute and Chairman of the Menzies Foundation, Brian Doyle AM, and Professor Allan Cripps, Pro Vice Chancellor (health) at Griffith, have recorded a video explaining philosophy of the partnership.

The collaboration between the Menzies Foundation and Griffith University will position the university as a world-class leader in allied health research. It also builds on the Menzies Foundation’s long-term commitment to allied health.

Professor Sheena Reilly has been appointed Director of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland and will take up the role in June. Here is her take on the importance of research for real life healthcare

For over 30 years the Menzies Foundation has played a strong role in providing funds and support for health and medical research, starting with the establishment of the Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin in 1984.
