2015 Menzies Scholarship to Harvard

Matthew obtained a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Monash University where he was awarded the University Medal in 2012. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Melbourne.

Matthew is a policy adviser to Federal Labor MP Clare O'Neil. During his Masters in Public Policy at the John F Kennedy School of Government, Matthew will explore how innovative partnerships between the public and private sectors can overcome rising inequality in Australia. Matthew has volunteered extensively, including as an adviser to the Global Poverty Project, which aims to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action to end extreme poverty.
