Career history:

Special Consultant to Chief Academic Officer at Boston Public Schools

An artist by trade, Ricky trained as a sculptor and worked as a public art coordinator and an art teacher before managing an outdoor education company. Ricky has seven years of professional experience as a classroom teacher and school leader, most recently as a middle years coordinator in Sydney.

During this time she also worked as a training consultant and project manager for a large rescue organization. Ricky has served in a number of leadership and representative roles in professional organizations, church communities and non-profits.

She is passionate about the issue of girls' education and has been involved in literacy projects in Nepal and coordinated a team to Ethiopia for Bright Hope.

As an Education Pioneer Fellow at the School Leadership Institute, Boston Public Schools Ricky supported professional development and onboarding opportunities for BPS principals and worked as part of a cross-functional team on evaluation and support systems for effective teachers and principals.
