Dr Sally Gainsbury
2007 Menzies Scholar in the Allied Health Sciences
Sally Gainsbury holds the degree of Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney (2004). Her PhD project was entitled "Do irrational beliefs maintain problem gambling behaviour?".
Sally holds a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship from the Centre for Gambling Education and Research at Southern Cross University and is a Research Affiliate in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney where she completed a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology. Sally is the Associate Editor for International Gambling Studies, an academic peer-review journal that publishes a multi-disciplinary gambling paper.
In 2010, Sally was awarded a $25,000 allied health start-up grant from the Menzies Foundation to begin groundbreaking research at the Southern Cross University into internet gambling in Australia. > more...
