Scholarship biography (at time of award)

Albert Dinelli graduated second of his class of 338 from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Arts and earned several awards including the Clayton Utz Prize for Torts.

Albert has worked at Mallesons Stephen Jacques and was awarded the Scholarship to complete a BCL at Magdalen College, University of Oxford.

Current Biography

Albert practises in commercial, constitutional and administrative law.

Before coming to the Bar, Albert was Associate to the Hon Murray Gleeson AC, the then Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia.

Albert has completed his D.Phil and BCL at the University of Oxford, having earlier graduated from Monash University with first class honours in his undergraduate Law degree. His doctorate was in the area of Conflict of Laws, focusing on jurisdiction and choice of law agreements.

Albert previously practised as a solicitor with Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) in the dispute resolution group. He is currently a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne where he teaches Constitutional Law and Conflict of Laws.
