Scholarship biography (at time of award)

David Bowly graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 2010. In addition to earning first class honours, David graduated in the top 10 of his class of 290 and was awarded several medals including the prestigious Sir John Monash Medal for outstanding achievement.

David has a particular interest in two aspects of engineering: renewable power generation, and education within the profession – enabling young engineers to learn from more experienced engineers.

David was awarded the Scholarship to complete an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge.

Current Biography

My work and study have equipped me with experience across a breadth of engineering, management, consulting, operations and project execution. I have worked closely with a wide range of people, from operations technicians and maintenance leaders to discipline engineers, senior project managers and company executives. This skill set helps me to develop effective and practical solutions and to manage the execution of those solutions.
