Scholarship biography (at time of award)
Jessica Roth has worked as a former Research Assistant and Associate to the President of the Australian Human Rights Commission.
Jessica is particularly interested in the value to business of promoting and protecting human rights and was awarded the Scholarship to complete a Master of Laws at the Harvard Law School.

Jessica is the Founder and Director of the Social Impact Hub. She credits her experience at Harvard as the inspiration for the Social Impact Hub. Harvard Law School (HLS) has the largest clinical programs offering of any law school in the United States. At HLS, Jessica worked on the launch of a new business and human rights non-profit organisation, MSI Integrity. She studied social entrepreneurship at HLS and philanthropy, social enterprise and impact investing at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Jessica has researched and written about clinical legal education, and served as a member of the Clinical Programs Student Advisory Committee at HLS. She is also an Adjunct Lecturer at UNSW Law School.
Jessica is also the Impact Strategist for Blue River Group, an independent impact investment services firm. She opened the Sydney office of Impact Investment Group and then served as a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, Jessica was a Solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons in Sydney. She has also worked at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and the Australian Human Rights Commission. She has served as a Director of a number of not-for-profit organisations. She holds a B.A. and LL.B. (with First Class Honours) from UNSW and a LL.M. from HLS, and was the recipient of the R.G. Menzies Scholarship to Harvard.
