I am a speech and language therapist with experience in early intervention and education. I received my PhD from Charles Sturt University (Australia) in 2010, and taught within the speech pathology discipline at CSU from 2007-2015. I commenced at the University of Sheffield in October 2015.
My research has focused on the life experiences of individuals with speech, language and communication needs, and their families; the application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF; WHO, 2001) in speech and language therapy; collaborative practice between early childhood educators and speech and language therapists; and service delivery issues. I continue to research across health/education and hold an adjunct appointment with the Research Institute for Professional Practice, Learning and Education at CSU.
