Peter Thomas was awarded the scholarship to complete a Masters of Business Administration at Harvard University.

Peter Thomas is a senior resources/infrastructure/construction executive. He is Director of Projects at Adani in Australia and is responsible for delivery of the Carmichael Mine/Rail/Port Project. He is passionate about nation building particularly large scale project development in infrastructure, mining and energy especially clean energy.
Peter spent 10 years with Fortescue Metals Group, working in various executive roles (CFO (TPI), Project Director Port/Rail Expansion, Director of Shared Services, General Manager Christmas Creek startup General Manager of Rail).
He has extensive experience in developing, financing and constructing large rail, port and mine projects. He began at Fortescue as CFO of TPI (port/rail part of the business), served as General Manager of Rail, set up the second mine at Christmas Creek as General Manager Christmas Creek Project and successfully led the $5 billion expansion of the port and rail in the T155 expansion project as Project Director. Most recently he served as Director, Shared Services as part of the CEO's executive team and managed all corporate services of the company including procurement, information technology, infrastructure services, accounts payable and human resources.
Prior to Fortescue, Peter was Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions at Novartis in Switzerland from 2003-2004 and Vice President at Lehman Brothers from 1998-2002 in New York and London. Peter has an MBA from Harvard Business School and worked at McKinsey & Company prior to those studies.
