Scholarship biography (at time of award)
Simone O'Shea holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with First Class Honours from La Trobe University.
Simone was awarded the Scholarship to complete her PhD project entitled "Investigation of the effects of peripheral strength training for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease" at La Trobe University.

Simone has over 15 years experience as a Physiotherapist. Her main clinical & research interests include rehabilitation, chronic health condition management, palliative care, adherence & self-management in health care, therapeutic exercise and women's health. As well as working as an academic at CSU, Simone also has a small private business focused on women's health during pregnancy & the post-natal period.
