Emerging Leaders

Incubator, Fellowship (15-17 yr) and Scholarship Program (18-30 yr); dedicated to cultivating leadership in Australia and beyond, has identified Emerging Leaders as one of its priority areas. To support this, the Foundation has established the Emerging Leaders Incubator, which assists a pipeline of young leaders in their leadership journey.

Menzies Emerging Leaders Program

This youth focused initiative supports a community of young people to engage with ethical challenges and build leadership capability. The collaboration explores how the artefacts and collateral developed from this initiative can best support the education sector to deepen ethical critical thinking in the school curriculum.

The Emerging Leaders initiative uses cultural probes to elicit young people’s response to ethical challenges. A select group of these young people come together at an annual workshop to develop the resources to support their peers to have a deeper engagement with ethics, reflect on leadership and the roles they might play in contributing to the greater good.

Global Voices

With the aim to shape a new generation of leaders who will drive positive change, strengthen communities, and make a lasting impact on Australian society and the world, Menzies Foundation has extended the Global Voices reach to a National scholarship program.

Furthering the investment in Emerging Leaders, Menzies Foundation offers two positions at highly influential forums – the IMF and World Bank Annual Meeting Delegation, and the Commission on the Status of Women Delegation.

This collaboration provides a powerful platform to inspire and equip young Australians with the tools and experiences necessary to become influential leaders on a global scale. By embracing this opportunity, the Menzies Scholars will contribute to creating a more prosperous, equitable, and resilient future, while fostering international cooperation, inclusive development, sustainability, and gender equality.

The Global Voices Scholarship Program encompasses three key elements: participation in pre-departure briefings at our National Conference in Canberra, completion of a Policy Fellowship, and involvement in an international delegation.

2021 Emerging Leaders - INEQUITY

2022 Emerging Leaders - POWER

2023 Emerging Leaders - VOICE

Menzies Foundation is committed to developing a best practice approach to its philanthropic work and supporting better practice in the sector.
