On his appointment, Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese acknowledged Glyn’s leadership qualities when he said, “Professor Davis will bring to the role of secretary a deep understanding of public policy and will work with my government in bringing about positive change for the Australian people,”
With this news, comes the resignation of Glyn Davis from the Menzies Foundation Board.
Peter Jopling AM QC, Menzies Foundation Board Chair said, “The Foundation offers Professor Glyn Davis, AC, our warmest congratulations on his appointment as Secretary, Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. Glyn’s service to the nation is reward enough for our loss, which we acknowledge with regret”.
Glyn has made an important contribution to the work of the Menzies Foundation over recent years as we have developed a catalytic approach to supporting leadership for the ‘greater good.’ Glyn exemplifies the leadership qualities that are increasingly important as Australia navigates the challenges of an increasingly complex, polarized, tribal and digitized world.
Glyn’s deep experience, thoughtful consideration of complex issues, and preparedness to be adaptive and a change agent ensures that he will make an important contribution to the opportunities and challenges ahead.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
