David was awarded the NHMRC/RG Menzies Fellowship to investigate cell-signalling pathways, firstly in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering and then at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne.

Throughout her career, she has consistently integrated the overarching marketing and communications narrative with the emotional connections of audiences.
