TERMS & CONDITIONS
The terms on which we provide this website and accept donations.
Last updated 22 Aug 2026
About these terms
This website is operated by The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation Limited (ABN 43 008 543 897), trading as the Menzies Leadership Foundation. By using this site or making a donation you agree to these terms.
They should be read together with our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
Using this website
You may read, print and share the content of this site for personal, educational or non-commercial purposes, provided you do not alter it and you attribute it to the Foundation.
You agree not to use this site to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attempt to gain access to any part of the site, or any account, that is not intended for you;
- interfere with the site's operation or security, or place an unreasonable load on it;
- collect personal information from the site, including alumni details, by automated means.
Donations
All donations are in Australian dollars and are processed securely by Stripe. Your card details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
A donation is a gift. It is made voluntarily, and you receive nothing of material value in return. The Foundation may decline or return a donation at its own discretion — for example where we suspect fraud, or where accepting it would conflict with the Foundation's purpose. That is our decision to make; it does not give a donor a right to a refund (see below).
You may choose to add an amount to cover the payment processing fees, so that the full value of your intended gift reaches the Foundation's work. This is optional and is shown to you before you confirm.
Unless you select a specific appeal, donations go to the Foundation's general fund and are applied to our charitable purposes as the Board determines. Where an appeal is oversubscribed or cannot proceed, we may apply the funds to a closely related purpose.
Receipts and tax deductibility
The Foundation is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia. We issue a receipt by email at the time of your donation, and recurring donors can download an annual statement.
We are not able to give you tax advice. Whether a donation is deductible in your circumstances is a matter for you and your adviser.
If a receipt does not arrive, check your spam folder first, then contact us at menzies@menziesfoundation.org.au and we will re-send it.
Recurring donations
If you choose to give regularly, your card is charged automatically at the interval you select until you change or cancel it. We will email you a receipt each time.
You are in control of a recurring gift at all times. From Manage my giving you can change the amount or frequency, pause it, update your card, or cancel it. Changes take effect from the next scheduled payment; they do not alter payments already made.
If a payment fails we will let you know and try again over the following days. If it continues to fail we will pause the donation rather than keep attempting it.
Refunds
Donations are non-refundable. A donation is a voluntary gift, and once it has been made it is applied to the Foundation's charitable work. Please check the amount and the frequency carefully before you confirm.
Cancelling a recurring donation stops future payments. It does not refund payments already made.
If you believe a payment was not authorised by you, or was charged more than once because of a technical fault, contact us at menzies@menziesfoundation.org.au as soon as you can and we will look into it. Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your account
Access to the donor portal is by a single-use link sent to your email address, or by a passkey you register. Keep access to your email account secure — anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in link.
Tell us promptly at menzies@menziesfoundation.org.au if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
Our content, and other people's
Unless stated otherwise, the content of this site — text, images, logos and design — belongs to the Foundation or is used with permission. The Menzies Leadership Foundation name and logo may not be used without our written consent.
This site links to and embeds material from other organisations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Accuracy and availability
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and content is provided for general information only. It is not professional advice and should not be relied on as such.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including these terms, at any time. The version published here is the current one.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, the Foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, and our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant service or refunding the amount you paid.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, we would rather hear about it. Email menzies@menziesfoundation.org.au or call +61 3 9070 3489 and we will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
