Investigating leadership, building insights, provoking action; applications are now open Australia wide for the 2022 Menzies School Leader Fellowship.
Fellowships will be awarded to four innovative principals and assistant principals from Australian government, Catholic and independent schools.
Powered by the Menzies Foundation and the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), the two-year, $150,000, leadership development initiative seeks to harness cross-sector expertise to understand how to build a pipeline of talented school leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to successfully adapt to and take on the challenges and complexities of the role.
“The community has really opened its eyes to the role of school leadership in guiding Australia’s next generation of thinkers and leaders through this hugely disruptive time in their lives. There is now a real momentum for much-needed change, and that’s what the Menzies School Leader Fellowship Initiative is all about.” said Laureate Professor John Hattie, Advisory Committee Member, Menzies School Leader Initiative.
Each two-year Fellowship is worth $150,000 and includes:
