Governor-General David Hurley; new patron of Menzies Foundation

The Menzies Foundation is delighted to announce His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of Australia has been
appointed a Patron of the Foundation.

“I am delighted to serve as Patron of the Menzies Foundation, says Hurley. He continues, “Outstanding leadership transforms local communities, creates
new opportunities and helps us respond to complex global issues. That is why the work of the Menzies Foundation is critically important. By raising
the profile and importance of outstanding leadership, supporting emerging leaders and much more, the Foundation is building our national leadership
capability and helping create a vibrant future for all Australians.”

General David John Hurley, AC, DSC, FTSE is a former senior officer in the Australian Army who is the 27th Governor-General of Australia, in office since
1 July 2019. He was previously the 38th Governor of New South Wales, serving from 2014 to 2019.
